World Sight Day Celebration 2024

Eyu -Ethiopia in collaboration with the Amhara Region Health Bureau, The Carter Center Ethiopia, Light for the World, and Partners in Education Ethiopia organized an eye health advocacy and promotion event at the Ayer Hail Primary School, to celebrate  World Sight Day under the theme "Children, Love Your Eyes".

The ceremony included :

• An awareness session on eye health

• eye examination services to 1,025 students and 42 teachers

• Spectacles were provided to 10 students and 33 teachers identified as having a visual impairment.

In addition, eye examinations were conducted on 409 employees from various institutions, resulting in 246 individuals receiving glasses for near-vision correction.
